As research has proven, children do their most important learning from birth to the age of five. Country Fun Child Care and Preschool believes that as Early Childhood Educators, it is our job to provide children with an age appropriate environment that encourages them to learn, play, and explore. We believe that every child needs hands-on experiences, attention, enthusiasm, encouragement and warmth. Most of all, they need the joy and challenge of doing things for themselves. We further believe that Parents/Guardians are the child’s most important significant adults in a child’s life. I strive to create mutual respect between Parents/Guardians and myself. I encourage open communication. Country Fun recognizes that quality childcare should provide all children with the opportunities and experiences that will enhance their development. Young children need to have every possibility to strengthen their physical, socially, cognitive, and emotionally growth.

I started working with children and their families in 1979. I received two degrees from Peninsula in 1993, Associates of Arts and Associates of Science in Early Childhood Education. Through Western Washington University E-Learning program, I received two Bachelor of Arts Concentration Certifications in Family Services and Typical/Atypical Development for Birth to Three. I continued my studies with Western Washington University and in March 2002 received my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services studying Family Dynamics, Family/School/Community Relationships, and Child Development. In December 2003, I completed my Masters of Science in Human Services from Capella University, studying At-Risk/Special Needs children, and Family Dynamics. I attend educational related workshops throughout the year receiving at least 10 S.T.A.R.S. hours. I am in Early Achievers, and currently rated at a 3.
